Years ago we met and decided to go on a duck hunt together. Quickly we grew friends and started hunting more together. With Fosters experience of film and producing content, we started to share our passion through YouTube. Foster would capture great hunting memories, but at that time the videos uploaded were more geared for personal reflections.

 What started as a fun way to document our outdoor adventures slowly  transformed into something much bigger. Each video we uploaded captured not just the thrill of the hunt, but also the camaraderie, the lessons learned, and the beauty of the landscapes we explored.

 

Our journey into the world of hunting guides began several years ago with one of the best the Black Hills of SD has to offer: Turkey Track Club. When the bird numbers started to decline, we realized the potential to expand our boundaries and to help save the turkey numbers while still getting hunters a great experience on birds.

Fast forward to 2024.

​As fall of 2023 approached, Foster had an opportunity at one of the rarest turkeys in the world.. a Melanistic Merriams turkey. We decided not to film the hunt, not wanting to screw anything up. 

​

This was the breaking point.

 

After the hunt, with one of the coolest birds ever to hit the ground (at that time), Foster regretted not getting it on film to show the world the beauty of the bird, as well as capture the story behind this once in a lifetime bird. 

​

We decided going forward we are going to put out the absolute BEST content for others to enjoy, learn from and help others on their outdoor journeys. 

​

Foster started posting content on YouTube and made it a personal goal to grow this channel quicker than anyone else thought possible. As we gained subscribers, we noticed an incredible community forming around our content. Viewers reached out with questions, seeking advice on techniques, gear, and how-to's. Their enthusiasm and appreciation inspired us to delve deeper into our own experiences and knowledge which helped guide us into the turkey hunting videos from spring 2024. We realized quickly that we had the opportunity to not only entertain but also educate and inspire others to connect with nature in meaningful ways.

The more we shared, the more we discovered our passion for teaching and guiding others. Each comment and interaction fueled our desire to provide hands-on experiences, helping newcomers and seasoned hunters alike navigate the complexities of the hunt. We found joy in guiding others through the skills and traditions that had shaped our own adventures.

 

Over the past few years, we had the opportunity to grow our status in the outdoor hunting community, having several higher profile hunters enjoy time in the field with us. We look at this as an opportunity to help grow our abilities to pay it forward and use this to fuel helping more people.

Ultimately, our YouTube channel became a launching pad for showing others our hunting style, how much fun hunting can be, and last, help expand our guiding opportunity. Prestige Outdoors has allowed us to build a community, share our expertise, and turn our love for hunting into a career.
